When Jim and Tammy Fayes empire fell, it really fell. I got to see the place near the end when I was dating a lady for a short while who was into that kind of religion. She insisted we go see it before it closed down and it was quite a show. People wore these different colored badges that were supposed to denominate how good a Christian they were. I don't know the color scheme but there were all kinds of colors and the higher the color on whatever scheme Jim and Tammy Faye imagined, the more money you had contributed and thus you got more more concessions you got at the park. And of course those with the finest colors got to hold their noses higher than the others. Kind of like the Pharisees.
But it all fell apart as they were as greedy as the prosperity ministers of today's era. Jim Baker got a hefty sentence but that was reduced after the sentencing Judge said something like "your kind of Christians make my kind of Christians deeply offended". Seems the judge had a Christian hierarchy in his mind as well. Seems to me humility is a requirement but there are not many Christians who can keep their egos out of their religion.
Anyway, about the ruins. The place has fallen into shambles but is near Charlotte NC on the South Carolina side and someone has done a wonderful job of taking pictures of the place although I understand some other ministry is trying to reconstruct it or has bought some of it and is makeing . But these are the best pictures available on the net of the place in ruins as the guy sneaked into the unfinished hotel and took pictures and has created an incredible photo gallery of the place here:

Enjoy it and remember that there are charlatans throughout the religious business. IF they're on TV, I don't trust them. (despite George Bush's administration which placed some of the worst offenders on the list of good charities (Operation Blessing for example was first on the list run by Pat Robertson who once used the money to fly down to his diamond mines in Africa where people worked as slave labor) for Hurricane Katrine and left off Habitat for Humanity which is truly needed there) If a business advertises that "we're a Christian business", I won't shop there. You don't need to use it as a form of advertising. etc.
